Electric Motor Testing Training

PdMA® Corporation offers training to assist our customers in learning how to safely operate and perform data analysis for motor circuit evaluation utilizing the MCEMAX®, MCE®, and EMAX testing equipment. The courses are designed to help you get the most from your tester.

The initial training courses are designed for both technicians and analyst to enable them to begin utilizing their tester as part of an effective motor testing program. These courses focus on how to safely operate the equipment, perform all tests, and use the Six Fault Zone approach to data analysis.

Web-Based

Our Web-Based training Fundamentals of MCEMAX has been specifically designed to benefit new users of the technology as well as giving our seasoned users an excellent refresher.

On-Site

On-Site courses are available for our customers at their site. The length of training and maximum number of students per course are dependent on your model of tester. Introduction to MCEMAX®:

PdMA Corporation’s training center in Tampa has been specifically designed to support all models of our testers. Students have the opportunity to perform every test each tester is capable of, in a safe and distraction free training lab. They have the opportunity to test both healthy and faulted motors using our latest hardware and software. The Introduction to MCEMAX course covers all models in our tester line.

MCEMAX® Data Analysis:

The MCEMAX Data Analysis course begins with a refresher on the operation of the MCEMAX and a review of the fundamentals of Fault Zone Analysis. The course will then continue with a study of how faults develop in motor components and strategies for testing complex motor circuits. The class examines case studies with real-life examples demonstrating how MCEMAX testing may be used to evaluate each Fault Zone in a motor circuit, and how Demodulated Current Signature Analysis may be used to monitor mechanical components being driven by the motor.

Operación e Interpretación del MCEMAX®

El curso de Operación e Interpretación del MCEMAX educa a los alumnos cómo se opera correctamente el analizador de motores MCEMAX y presenta los fundamentos de la interpretación de datos. El curso ocurre en un laboratorio de entrenamiento que provee acceso conveniente a motores en condición normal y motores con diferentes fallas. Los alumnos tienen la oportunidad de realizar cada prueba y evaluar los resultados bajo la supervisión del instructor de PdMA.

Students who come to our Data Analysis Training Course are encouraged to bring data from their own facilities to share with the class.

* Day 4 is a half day on Friday, which has been added to the course for DC MCE and EMAX testing procedures for people who have MCEMAX Model #555X with MCEGold® software. For all others this will be a three-day class ending on Thursday.

** Electric Motor Testing Certification conducted by The Snell Group.

This course does NOT include an Introduction to MCEMAX or MCEMAX Data Analysis course and does NOT include training on any PdMA test equipment.

This five-day course conducted by The Snell Group in the PdMA Corporation facility in Tampa, Florida, is designed to provide students with a sound theoretical foundation to safely and successfully analyze, troubleshoot and maintain motors and their circuits regardless of what equipment is utilized or eventually procured. The course qualifies for the Electric Motor Testing Certification offered by Snell and is open to everyone regardless of whether or not they own a motor testing unit. Fundamentals of MCEMAX® – Web-Based Training

This course has been specifically designed to benefit new users of the technology as well as giving our seasoned users an excellent refresher. We deliver 16 modules that take you from start to finish on the operation of an MCEMAX.
