As a young automobile driver, we were reminded to “Check the Air in the Spare”, referring to the spare tire. The last thing anyone wants is to have a flat tire only to find out that the spare tire is flat as well. This same philosophy applies to your electric motors. The phrase “If you don’t have time to do it once, you certainly don’t have time to do it twice”, is very applicable. The last thing anyone wants is to replace a failed motor only to find out that the spare motor failed on startup requiring a second replacement.
